Le Cicogne, startup that enables parents and babysitters to get in touch easily and quickly, just closed a new round of funding of €355k. The investment was made by LVenture Group, Bertoldi Holding, Club Acceleratori, Club Italia Investimenti, PiCampus, and some business angel from the platform SiamoSoci.com According to Monica Archibugi, CEO of the company, "The funds will be used to consolidate the market in the 83 cities in which we operate with a focus on the metropolis of Rome and Milan - and activate the service in 40 more cities in Italy. With the launch of the app for smartphones and a new business model, we were able to demonstrate that there is a lot of space to innovate even in a traditional world like that of babysitting, and that technology can make the babysitter search experience faster and more efficient for families. This has convinced our investors to continue believing in us and allowed us to involve with new strategic partners for the development of our business". Le Cicogne was established in 2013 to help families find a trusted babysitter easily and quickly and to allow babysitters to professionally manage their work. In recent months, transactions grew of 20% month after month. The startup reached 6,000 registered babysitters and more than 3,000 families have used the platform. The cities where the service is available increased from four to 83 and, according to plans, will reach 120 in the coming months and a research on the European market will lead to the opening in the first foreign capital.
