Today, Federica Guidi, Minister of Economic Development, was at LUISS ENLABSto announce Italia Startup Visa, a program to incentivize innovative entrepreneurs from all over the world to start up their business in Italy!

Italia Startup Visa means leaner and faster procedures to facilitate the entry visa approval for autonomous work for extra-EU citizens who want to establish an innovative startup in Italy. Any extra-EU citizen who has a good business idea, whatever age or background can apply.

Italia Startup Visa means leaner and faster procedures to facilitate the entry visa approval for autonomous work for extra-EU citizens who want to establish an innovative startup in Italy. Any extra-EU citizen who has a good business idea, whatever age or background can apply. 

This is a first step to attract and to help the growth of innovative startups in Italy. We keep working to promote innovation and entrepreneurship in the country” said the Minister Guidi during the press conference.

Robust tax relief on seed and venture capital investments, pioneering equity crowdfunding provisions, cuts in red tape, substantial guarantees on bank loans are all recent steps to make Italy attractive for young and innovative enterprises. And this already came true! Just to know, to the last call of our startup acceleration program, we received more than 30 applications from startups from abroad. How to apply?

If you want to start up your business in Italy and apply for a Startup Visa, you should visit italiastartupvisa.mise.gov.it. There you can find all the useful information and do the application for the entry visa.

You can choose between two procedures:

#1 direct application
#2 certified incubator (such as LUISS ENLABS!)

You just need to send the application form for (Italia Startup Visa) ISV and a cover letter for proof of financial resources (50k euro required) to italiastartupvisa@mise.gov.it.
Just in 30 days the committee is to evaluate the request supported with academic and professional curriculum, as well as detailed information on the idea and business model, product / service typology, and target market.
