We made it again! Our Investor Day took place yesterday and it was a success.

After 5 months of work at tight pace, the best startups of the last batch of the acceleration program, introduced by Augusto Coppola, Managing Director of LUISS ENLABS Acceleration Programs, presented in a 5-minute pitch their work and the results achieved to an audience of potential investors, Business Angels, corporates, and press.

The sectors in which the startups operate range from Big Data with Big Profiles, a customer intelligence service that can aggregate information from different sources on a specific person, to sustainable mobility with 2Hire, which allows users to control any vehicle trough app, as also to tourism with DiveCircle, dedicated to diving enthusiasts, to manufacturing 4.0, with PlayWood and its innovative furnishing system, and ultimately E-Health with Medyx, alert service for medication assumption. Further, Big Profiles, whose service increases the cybersecurity level for its costumers, has participated in the program Security Challenge, launched with Cisco, InfoCert and NTT DATA.

Luigi Capello, CEO of LVenture Group and Co-Founder di LUISS ENLABS, opened the event: “This Investor Day concurs with a particularly significant moment for our company: in the last days we’ve closed a capital increase for about 2 million Euros, which came with the entrance of top notch strategic players from the academic, financial and entrepreneurial scenes (LUISS University, Sara Assicurazioni, Zenit SGR) in our capital. We have presented our quarterly results, which show an impressive growth compared to the first quarter 2016, and today we present to the startups selected trough the last Acceleration Program to over 100 qualified investors. All of this significantly strengthens our ecosystem, which is the key element to help them generating value.

Thanks to the collaboration with HITalk, format born to inspire, reflect and motivate through the personal and professional storytelling of Italian excellencies, the even has been enriched by two high-profile speeches: that of Armando Biondi, CoFounder of AdEspresso, Italian startup recently acquired by the Canadian giant Hootsuite, who has told his story through 10 lessons learnt from his experience as a startupper, and that of the IT populiser and web guru Salvatore Aranzulla, who has explained how he launched Aranzulla.it, one of the 30 most visited websites in Italy with a turnover of nearly 2 million Euros. Last but not least, Mattia Corbetta, of the Technical Secretariat of the Ministry of Economic Development and Giovanni Lo Storto, General Manager of LUISS University, also intervened in the event’s closing.
